Phlebectomy (or the removal of veins) treats surface veins by removing them easily and with the use of local anesthesia. This is accomplished through multiple, minute incisions and results in almost no sparring.

In addition, the results are seen immediately as the vein is completely removed. Often this technique is used in combination with Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA).
